Stampede Pass is home to a national weather station, the Tacoma Watershed and the remote location for the old railroad town of Lester. The Stampede Rail Tunnel is two miles long and one of the longest tunnels in the country. Stampede Pass is a wonderful location for huckleberry picking in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
